Specializing Surgical and Non-Surgical Care of Joint, Muscle,  Tendon and Ligament Sports Injuries

I take pride in listening and helping patients make shared decisions.  I want to ensure that no one leaves my office feeling like they were not heard or not understood.  It is my goal to teach you about your injury so that you understand all of your options and can choose the best one for you and your life.  I consider it a privilege to help patients live the highest quality of life so they can continue to enjoy both work and play.

Before medical school, Dr. Jeffers spent time in Vail, CO helping patients rehabilitate and recover from orthopaedic injuries. This gives him an interesting perspective on patient care as he has helped guide patients through every phase of an injury: from diagnosing them on the field, to performing their surgery, to helping them rehab and recover.  He completed medical school in Tampa at the University of South Florida.   He then did his orthopaedic surgery residency in New Orleans at Louisiana State University.  After completing residency, he moved here to Denver to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic where he helped take care of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and Cherry Creek High School.

Dr. Jeffers is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee.  He provides surgical and non-surgical care of joint, muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. Taking care of world class athletes, he fine tuned his skills in complex ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction.  He also takes on complex revision cases.  He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.   He has published on rare injuries, ACL reconstruction in Division I football players, and complex hip anatomy.

Dr. Jeffers is a family man who loves to enjoy the outdoors and sporting events with his wife, Susie, their children and their dog.  He enjoys skiing, snowboarding and playing sports outdoors.  He is an avid fan of the NFL, NCAA, MLB and NBA.

“Dr Faulkner is an amazing & professional doctor. I underwent surgery for a torn rotary cup & he clarified specific details so I could comprehend everything. He takes the time to listen to your concerns which leaves you feeling positive with the care you will obtain. He’s very knowledge in the medical treatments confirming his understanding of your current circumstance(s). Due to his surgical abilities, I was able to attend physical therapy for 3 mo instead of 6 mo! Thank you for everything!”

LJ Dixon | Aurora, CO

“I was involved in a motorcycle accident and Dr. Faulkner performed surgery to repair a broken arm and broken leg. The injuries were pretty dramatic but he did an excellent job of repairing the limbs. I am anticipating total recovery because of his knowledge and surgery skills. I can recommend him without any reservations!”

“Dr. Falukner truly is one of the most sincere, kind, compassionate, patient, professional, and detail-oriented health care providers I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. He takes the time to listen to all of your concerns and leaves you feeling confident in the care you receive. By not only confirming his understanding of your current medical state with verbal responses he physically checks the joints to explore movement and to “feel” what your concerns are. His level of care is special and rare.”

Thankful Patient | Colorado

“Dr. Faulkner is amazing. From the first time I met him he was truly concerned about my care. I fractured my knee cap and he fixed it. You can hardly see where the incision was. His staff is also very friendly and they are right there for you.”

Michele | Aurora, CO

“I have been a past patient of Colorado Orthopedic Consultants, this was my first time seeing Dr. Faulkner and it was a great experience. His office staff are great, very professional and patient being that I was going through Workers Comp. My shoulder surgery went great, no complications. I would definitely recommend Dr. Faulkner to family and friends. “
