Specializing Surgical and Non-Surgical Care of Joint, Muscle, Tendon and Ligament Sports Injuries
I take pride in listening and helping patients make shared decisions. I want to ensure that no one leaves my office feeling like they were not heard or not understood. It is my goal to teach you about your injury so that you understand all of your options and can choose the best one for you and your life. I consider it a privilege to help patients live the highest quality of life so they can continue to enjoy both work and play.
Before medical school, Dr. Jeffers spent time in Vail, CO helping patients rehabilitate and recover from orthopaedic injuries. This gives him an interesting perspective on patient care as he has helped guide patients through every phase of an injury: from diagnosing them on the field, to performing their surgery, to helping them rehab and recover. He completed medical school in Tampa at the University of South Florida. He then did his orthopaedic surgery residency in New Orleans at Louisiana State University. After completing residency, he moved here to Denver to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic where he helped take care of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and Cherry Creek High School.
Dr. Jeffers is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. Taking care of world class athletes, he fine tuned his skills in complex ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction. He also takes on complex revision cases. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. I cannot recommend Dr. Jeffers highly enough for his outstanding care and expertise. From my initial consultation to my post-operative follow-ups, he has demonstrated an unparalleled level of dedication and professionalism.
Dr. Jeffers’s communication skills are second to none. He took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis, the proposed treatment plan, and what I could expect during recovery. His ability to break down complex medical information made it easy for me to understand made me feel extremely comfortable and well informed.
What truly sets Dr. Jeffers apart is his genuine care for his patients. He is always attentive and compassionate, taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I had. His warm and reassuring demeanor helped give me confidence in my treatment plan of care.
Dr. Jeffers’s dedication to his craft is evident in the meticulous care he provides. My surgery was very helpful, and I credit his skillful hands and attention to detail for my smooth recovery. He continually checked in on my progress and adjusted my treatment plan as needed to ensure the best possible outcome and has helped me get back to many activities that I had pain doing before.

“From the friendly and authentic greeting and check-in when I walked in, to the personal greeting and check in and follow-up from Monique, Dr. Jeffers assistant (and from my experience, doctors can’t function without their assistants, so they’ve got to be good—because like dental assistants, they are the one you see the most), to the caring and compassionate evaluation by Dr. Jeffers, I felt seen and heard during my entire appointment. Looks like I have a rotator cuff tear . They got me in on Friday for an MRI and we’ll figure out the next steps on Monday. I really appreciate that no-one is wasting my time—my pain and injury are being taken seriously and I feel like they want to help me as soon as possible.”

“Got to meet Dr. Kirk Jeffers, he was very professional and personable. He spent time showing me the MRI and discussing my options. I did not feel he was pushing towards any of the options, but left it open to have further discussion.”
